The Boston Printmakers is a non-profit print alliance with members from the United States, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. Center for Contemporary Printmaking‘s mission has been to support, preserve and advance the art of original prints. The Center is dedicated to increasing awareness, knowledge and appreciation for prints and the process of printmaking through exhibitions, publications, educational programs and artist workshops.
CCP offers internship and scholarship opportunities for students throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut, and the larger metropolitan region. In September 2015, CCP launched the Grace Ross Shanley Memorial Scholarship Program with the goal of educating future printmakers. As part of this program, the Center offers two-year apprentice/mentor opportunities for high school juniors through their senior year, enrolling students from many of our area high schools.

Creative Arts Workshop is a nonprofit regional center for creativity that has served the Greater New Haven area since 1961. Edinburgh Printmakers is a creative centre for printmaking and the visual arts in Edinburgh, Scotland. The printmaking studio welcomes anyone interested in joining our courses or becoming a member. The Hand Magazine is based in Prairie Village, Kansas and has been in publication since 2013, releasing four issues a year. For forty years, The Japanese Paper Place has been committed to the ideal of encouraging creativity with the finest quality Japanese papers. We stock an extensive selection of decorative and art papers in sheets and rolls, all made in Japan.
In recent years, the preservation of traditional papermaking has become of increased concern. The influence of large industry, a lack of available labour, and the undeniable impact of climate change all affect traditional papermaking. To raise awareness of these challenges, and to help preserve the craft, and the papermakers’ way of life, The Japanese Paper Place founder, Nancy Jacobi, has coined the term Heritage Washi. We use this term to describe those Japanese papers that are still handmade by skilled craftspersons using the earth-friendly techniques and materials of their ancestors. No fillers or harsh chemicals have been added. As a result, these papers are very strong, absorbent, sustainable, and archival.

Washi Arts stocks an extensive range of Japanese papers, including Heritage Washi, made by hand using the same techniques used for over 1400 years. B) The selected winning print must use the chine collé technique using Japanese papers ideally both for the chine-collé and the base.
