The Burroo

I only found out about Print Day in May today, but I was down at my studio yesterday Saturday and printed up my new drypoint plate of the Burroo (iceberg in Manx). It’s a special lump of rock just off the south coast of the Isle of Man known more commonly these days as the Drinking Dragon.

I found my love for Printmaking while doing a Foundation Course in Art and Design at my local college on the Isle of Man as a mature student. I went on to gain a BA(Hons) in Fine Art while still working part time in the IT Department of the Manx Government. I am now happily retired from the day job and lucky enough to have a small Printmaking Studio in the South of the Island.
