PRINT DAY IN MAY SYMPOSIUM IN SONOMA!

The Sonoma Community Center is hosting a Printmaking Symposium for Print Day in May!

Step into the exciting world of printmaking with a full day of print-focused live art demonstrations led by four talented local Bay Area teaching artists. Each artist will demo twice over the course of the day so that participants will have a chance to experience a session with each visiting artist, learn about and engage in a variety of modern printmaking techniques, including surface design, and Japanese papermaking.

The festivities will include some hands-on activities, artist talks, Q&A, and will end with a mix & mingle happy hour party with homemade pizza in our Secret Garden. Proceeds benefit the teaching artists!

The Sonoma Community Center’s Printmaking department offers public workshops and classes, in addition to hosting weekly monitored open studio access for experienced artists who wish to work on independent projects. We have a beautiful, well-lit studio with a variety of machinery to explore many methods of printmaking including, monoprinting, intaglio, and relief printing.
