Nicola Hill (b.1966) is a fine artist and printmaker. Her work comprises of drawings, paintings, and prints (linocut & mono-print). Nicola is curious about capturing a moment in time whether it’s in a face or landscape, for her it’s as much about experimenting with new materials and learning new techniques to make expressive marks as it is about the subject. Nicola Hill is based in Rye on the south east coast of England. Initially graduating in ceramics at Middlesex, setting up and running a shared studio space in East London. Working for the Crafts Council and teaching ceramics in Adult Ed. For over 20 years she and a colleague ran a successful interiors and lifestyle photo agency which closed in 2021. Since then Nicola has focused on making and selling her art online and in exhibitions as well collaborating on creative projects. Nicola is currently working on a series of small etched linocuts 'Flock' with a variety of sheep breeds resembling Georgian Silhouette portraits exploring Identity.
