Hi everyone! My name is Maureen Da Silva, and I’m the directing manager of the non-profit artist group “The inPrint Collective” based in Toronto, Canada. We’ve been making art and engaging in community projects together for over ten years now, and were excited to celebrate our decade together by opening up a new studio/gallery space this past September. It just so happens that Print Day in May lands on our regular public hours, which run from 11am to 4pm, though we will be extending our hours for a bit longer so we can share what some of our artists are printing/working on that day. We hope to use Print Day in May to showcase our space and some projects we are working on, and invite the public to come in and say hello while we’re working!
We are currently set up for screenprint and relief, with options for small drypoints and monoprinting, and we are in the process of setting up our lithography press! Below are some photos of our studio space, located at 58 Wade Ave, Unit 8A (right by Lansdowne subway, and in the building next to Propellor Coffee). If you happen to be in the neighbourhood on Saturday May 4th, be sure to stop by and check us out! Keep an eye out on our social media (instagram @inprintca) for updates on members’ work as well as some of our community projects!
