Established in 2007, Print Day in May annually invites tens of thousands of printmakers from all over the world to come together to share their love of printmaking via our online community To participate as a Print Day in May prize sponsor, all you need to do is:

  1. Offer up a prize package. Take a look at our Prize Sponsors page for ideas. Gift certificates are always a popular option.
  2. Leverage your existing marketing and social media channels to get the word out about Print Day in May. We will happily promote your involvement as well.
  3. Encourage participants to enter to win!

Participating printmakers will then post their creations to our blog and social media. By tagging their posts with your business, they help spread our community’s love of printmaking and drive awareness of our great partners such as your organization.

How are prizes awarded?

The way you choose your winner(s) is up to you. However, we do require that winners follow a few rules to ensure maximum visibility for our sponsors and the Print Day in May community

  • The selected post(s) must be publicly shared on our blog, Instagram, or Facebook
  • Social media winners must tag @printdayinmay, @yourorganization, and #printdayinmay2024 and be actively following @printdayinmay (you are welcome to require them to also follow your accounts)
  • Winning post(s) must be identified and shared with the Print Day in May team within 3 days of Print Day in May. It is very important to our reputation as well as yours that we acknowledge the winners in a timely manner.

You are welcome to include additional eligibility requirements for your prize giveaways, particularly if they streamline the winner selection or prize delivery process for you. For example, you might require participants to use additional hashtags to make it easier to aggregate all entries together, or you may require them to live in a particular geographic area or use a particular product. 

How much does it cost to be a sponsor?

The only cost involved is the value of the prize you are offering. There is no upfront cost for you to participate as a prize sponsor.

What benefit do I receive in exchange for being a sponsor?

We strive to make your sponsorship a valuable investment for both your organization and Print Day in May. In the months leading up to Print Day in May, we cross-promote our event and our sponsors, ensuring maximum exposure for your organization to a highly engaged, global audience of printmakers.

To make this a win-win event for printmakers and sponsors alike, we heavily leveraging social media campaigns to generate interest in the event and to reward people for their participation. Printmakers are incentivized to share their Print Day in May contributions in exchange for possible exposure on social media and prizes from sponsors. We promote your brand on our channels, while you promote Print Day in May through your mailing lists, social media, and other customer outreach. Please be sure to tag us at @printdayinmay and #printdayinmay, and point your customers to www.printdayinmay.com. Unless you specify otherwise, we assume we have your permission to share your social media posts. We ask that you help us share your love for PDiM as well!

What do I need to provide to become a sponsor?

To confirm your participation, please be sure to provide us with the following:

  • Your organization’s logo for promotion on our website (preferably in a square or landscape orientation, if possible)
  • A brief description of your organization to include on our Prize Sponsors page
  • A brief description of your planned prize, including any additional eligibility requirements
  • Links to your website, Instagram, and Facebook
