This is the print I came up with today. A simple collagraph of a wombat mother & baby. I used mat board and then cut and removed layers; used PVA glue and carborundum gel to create texture and darker areas and then finished off with a layer of varnish. I wanted to see the brush marks in the varnish for extra texture. I used Akua carborundum gel and Akua intaglio ink in Mars black. Not exactly the outcome I was hoping for (a bit too dark in places), but that’s the exciting thing about printmaking!!
