Pat Prosek is an artist, born in Philadelphia, who attended the University of the Arts and subsequently relocated to the West Coast. She continued her artistic pursuits at several printmaking studios in the San Francisco Bay area, including the University of California in Berkeley.
She works predominantly as a printmaker, producing etchings and monoprints on her press named “Under Pressure Press,” in Lafayette, California. Much of her monoprint work shows a definite Asian flavor, influenced by her Asian art studies and she loves to portray the classic crane as it has always been her favorite subject.
Pat was a founding member of the Lafayette Art Gallery and since its demise, she shows her work at the Moraga Gallery, Moraga, California, and the Valley Art Gallery in Walnut Creek.
Her work is included in many private and public collections, including the Library of Congress, Washington, D. C., and the Fine Art Museum of San Francisco in the Achenbach Graphic Art Foundation, the Portland Museum, Portland, Oregon and the permanent collection of the Florean Museum, Baia Mare, Romania.
