Image squared up, enlarged onto lino and a new background begins to take shape. My plan of attack wasn’t very well conceived so I’ve ended up with a few inconsistencies. Some things have white outlines, some black, some contrasted against the background. The black version shows my bad decision to reverse the contrast where leaves appear against the dark background. I had to cut that section out and replace with a blank piece of lino.Using more colours would have resolved the technical issues but I’m in a monochrome phase, so that’s that. I might have to try this one again some time.
Thanks Anna Alcock of Inky Cuttlefish studio for inspiration.
