Printing Monotypes in Mazatlan – Glen Rogers

I just returned to my Mazatlan, Mexico studio for May & June – to paint, create some prints and work on my new book, Symbols of the Spirit.

For Print Day in May, I’m working on a new series of large-scale monotypes, 30″ x 22″, featuring various symbols that have become a focus of my work.  The lotus image emerged from this fully inked plate – a symbol that implies spiritual awakening – a life unfolding.

I will do a series of black & white prints – then decide later whether to add transparent layers of color later.

Cheers! Enjoy printing today!
