“Sisters of the Cloth” set for Printmaking Extravaganza

Deb & Sandy from Sisters of the Cloth

We have our event set and have 5 people so far who will be joining us as we participate in the International Print Day in May!

You will learn some fun, unique and interesting printmaking techniques. You will have the opportunity to explore Encaustic Printmaking. We will introduce you to several methods of using pigmented wax (encaustic) as an artistic medium. You will learn printmaking techniques with heated wax using a variety of tools to make your own marks on paper.

Also covered in our Printmaking Extravaganza is Gelatin Plate Printing. Gelatin plate printing (or Gelliprint) is fun and easy and doesn’t take any special tools. It’s a type of monoprinting, and each print will be different. You can print onto paper or fabric.
We have loads of tools, stencils and objects for you to use to make your own unique statements. We may even share some bonus techniques!! After you have made your prints, we (meaning Deb!) will help you post your results online for the chance at prizes from the sponsors of this International Print Day in May!!
