Order and chaos

Ribbon falls
Shadow falls
Water over rock

Order and chaos….three woodblock prints from a series of 10 which I am currently making. The way water flows and breaks from order to chaos is what really interests me, and from a technical angle is what preoccupies my printmaking efforts. These pictures are waterfalls in my mind, as opposed to representational images. These are all hand-cut blocks, resulting in quite large prints, hand printed without a press, using vegetable oil inks on 60gsm Okawara paper. They are all for sale in editions of 50.

Shadow Falls has been selected for the summer exhibition of the Royal Society of British Artists at the Mall Galleries in central London, July 2019

Hi Robynn, Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Can you help me find a market for my prints in California? Last summer, one of my prints exhibited in the Royal Academy in London and sold all 50 copies of the edition. Currently the print Shadow Falls has been accepted by the Royal Society of British Artists for a major open exhibition in Central London in July. Maybe because of Brexit, it’s really hard to sell in UK just now and I need to sell in order both to live and to make more work. The range of current work is on my website http://www.rodnelson.studio. I give good fair commission to anyone who sells my prints.
Thanks so much for your attention. Best wishes
