Cézanne’s Apples and More

Inspired by the now legendary apple paintings I undertook a quixotean project: to paint a “Cézannean apple.” I chose a variegated fruit as inspiration and I painted it using some acrilic poster paint. Yes I painted an apple

While it was dripping paint I inserted a brush as a handle. Then I used my “tool” to stamp (aka print) the two images attached. I rotated my ad-hoc tool to use different patterns being formed by the dripping paint.

The two apple prints that follow are:
1. Don Quixote and a Ghost
2. Kandinskean Abstraction
