I started this piece a few days ago using my brand new and heavenly sharp carving tools (after using the cheap ones I still had from art school). The carving took a while and was frustrating at times but I am very happy with the end result. This is a test print but I’ll probably use some nice paper for a few fancier ones.

Hi, I’m Nora! I am a tattoo artist from The Netherlands. Since the lockdown I haven’t been able to work. This has given me the energy to rekindle several other art disciplines I have worked in in the past. Such as blockprinting!

I hadn’t heared of Print Day in May until a few days ago, while watching other artists’ beautiful prints on Instagram. So I thought it would be nice to carve a block especially for this occasion. I really enjoyed this process. Some struggles along the way but I’m happy with how the print turned out 🙂

It’s been really great and inspiring to see all the work that everyone’s posted here and I’m happy I found this place!

I carved this beetle with strawberry plants inspired by the strawberries in my garden.

Below are other prints I made during this lockdown.

It has been a lot of fun to be working in other disciplines again, and it’s something I really missed!

Thanks for watching!

other work and tattoos I’ve done can be seen on Instagram @norapruyser, if you feel so inclined.
