Ann Guiliani on Print Day in May 2020

TIME OUT – was a lithograph drawn directly onto a pronto plate from life using permanent markers.  Then it was photographed and exposed onto an “image On” Intaglio plate  printed with an additional plate for monotype over it.
A SENSE OF PLACE – was a large sumi ink and brush drawing onto Japanese mulberry paper with encaustic wax brushed onto it.  The original drawing is approximately   38″X28″.  The drawing was also photographed and exposed onto an ImageOn Intaglio plate and printed the same way as TIME OUT.
MOUNTAIN MAGIC – was a drawing in graphite and conte crayon that measures 12″X18″.  It was drawn from my window in Santa Fe.  It was a magical place with a wondrous view of the mountain. All the prints were executed in Santa Fe in February.  Got back to Cape Cod just in time before the pandemic hit us.
Now working on more plates on Cape Cod and experimenting with encaustic and also aluminum ball lithograph plates.
My printing press is an American French Intaglio Press that is large enough for me to  38″X28″ prints.  The press was recently brought downstairs to a new studio in the basement.  I am a happy camper with the space of the basement.
