A recent visit to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, provided the inspiration for this woodblock print.  Natural beauty!

I favored woodblock printing over ceramics or etching as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin/Madison (BA). I discovered the field of costume history at UCLA (MA). As Associate Director, Center for the Study of Regional Dress, Fowler Museum/UCLA, I gained knowledge about the textile-producing countries and cultures throughout the world. I have combined the field of textiles w/printmaking. Travel to Indonesia Japan and Turkey have inspired my work. Recent art has focused on conservation, recycling and sustainability--as well as the fractured nature of our times. And, I've added collage and off-loom weaving techniques to my work.
