Some Linocuts

Two relief prints created for #PrintDayinMay 2024. One is 6×6 inches, the other 6×3 inches. Both are printed on Dai Chiri Green paper from @thejppofficial and inked with black from @cranfieldcolours. The barn was carved a while ago from a sketch I did of a favourite lakeside picnic spot. The smaller piece is titled Ebb and Flow.

Been printing randomly for a few decades - whenever I had access to a press. Then I discovered gel plates and refocussed on landscape monotypes. Recently bought an etching press for a different approach to my landscapes. And yes, it’s always landscapes whether I’m printing or painting in pastels, oils and acrylics.

The variation of your carving stokes is so effective in creating the imagery in your linocut prints!
