Printmaking day of fun in Birchington, UK

A very enjoyable day spent in my studio with friends. We decided to have a day playing wit techniques we had not tried before. We had a go at making prints with tin foil – making textured collagraph type prints and also having a play with kitchen litho.

Our results – although we did get slightly distracted by the lunch we all prepared and the bottle of wine – well why not!!!

The textured prints using kitchen foil had potential, however only one of us managed to succeed in producing a print using the kitchen litho process. One great thing that came out of today was the desire to do a day like this again. We were not concerned with getting a perfect result, but with just experimenting and playing, something we rarely make time for.
