First time printer

Hi everyone, I’m taking up the invitation to post a bit on here to share what I’m doing for Print Day in May 2019. To cut a long story short I’m an oil painter normally but have serendipitously entered the printing den just in time to take part in PrintDayInMay.

I’ve already posted about my first prints on my site here:

Test “piece” done, I needed to do something specific for PrintDayInMay. As we’re in spring I wanted to reference that. My subject is a hare, and as we’ve got some beautiful bluebells growing in our garden right now, they had to get in there too.

So here are the development images so far. I tend to post progress images as part of my instagram story, @davidnicolart

Good luck everyone, and happy printing.

AS the founder of Print Day in May, you’ll be happy to know that I too, am a painter. I came to print mid career, and so glad I did! Addicting, so watch out!
