Print Day in May – Shannon Webb

Inspiration: a fragrant orange tree Materials, soy ink and left over paper, plastic clip board, brush, make shift roller, my hands/body for preassure.

Print 1 of three. working with a clipboard for my plexi surface and soy based ink in the sun. This is printed on hot press water color paper 4×4.
There are abstract orange blossoms almost swirling around and orange stapled orb.
Print two is from the ghost with an orange added. I was inspired by the flowers. The texture is delicious. Not what I expected but… mmm. This is printed on 8×10 mixed media art board. These paper choices are producing the texture.
a single orange, with generous ink texture, highlighted by flat, paper white accents , lays next to an abstract orange blossom, floating on a green ground.
This is similarly printed on mixed media art board. the ink blot nature of the transfer encouraged me to focus on one flower, and fruit.
