Print Day in May is an annual international celebration of printmaking taking place on the first Saturday in May. Join us in the print studio at Creative Arts Workshop as we gather with thousands of participants around the globe to recognize the special art community. CAW’s studio is equipped for relief, intaglio, screen print, and monotype processes, and offers five printmaking presses, an exposure unit, large hotplate, and a metal cutter.

***Due to a recent very generous private donation of supplies, the printmaking paper and materials are on us! Just bring paper towels! INKSLINGERS UNITE!

New Haven public school art educator, printmaking department head and faculty, Creative Arts Workshop, New Haven, CT. Although I like to experiment with a variety of media, I consider myself first and foremost a printmaker. I am fascinated by the various tools, the smell of the inks, the machinery of the press. I work primarily with monotype and mixed media including Asian papers, oil pastel, wax and collage. I continue to play with color, pattern and texture, and incorporate these elements into my explorations of nature and the world around me.
